Stefan Duerst's public art sculpture created from recycled rebar- a direct connection to the Big Dig. The integrated benches provide seating for reflecting and relaxing. " The centre part reaches up like a tree, with abstract foliage and mandala- like patterns"

Sydenham Street Revived

The purpose of Sydenham Street Revived ( SSR) was to test out and evaluate the 18 day pop up park. The recommendations by the SSR working group for Sydenham Street were a curbless, flexible street design with traffic limited to one way. In the winter, when public space usage is limited do to the weather, the street would have parking on both sides of the street.

Sydenham Street Revive

The summer street design limits parking to one side of the street. This allows for a pedestrian clearway and room for outdoor cafes and public seating.

Sydenham Street Revived

During the summer, the street has the capacity to be closed for street events. The curbless street design provides for a barrier free accessible street.
